"To A Special Teacher"

I am going to post this. It is old. It was given to my mother by a Billie Jo Back, in the 1980-1981 school year, and Billie Jo Back was in her 3rd period class. It was given to my mom June 6, 1981. We kept it in the kitchen--a plaque--by Hallmark and there is a c with a circle around it, Hallmark cards. I took it down and have it in a special place.

"To A Special Teacher

If you're convinced that lessons are appealing
And you do your best to help each student learn
And you give and give and keep on feeling
That their success rewards you in return,
If you believe there is no greater pleasure
Than doing just exactly what you do,
Then you're a student's greatest life-long treasure--
A teacher who is special through and through."

That was my mother. That was my mother. And she was supposed to have been incompetent. My mother was everything that was said in that plaque.
