The night at Frisch's

This girl who is going to be in 12th grade who works there got irritating tonight. I was working on putting an order in and was trying to make sure I got it right, and she said, "You're still working on that? You're slow." I take comments from kids lightly as possible. Later she was getting a little bossy and I said I was going to be making a movie and she's probably wondering why I'm working at Frisch's but everyone who's successful has to do something like this.

A guy came in tonight who bears a resemblence to Matthew Perry. He has a family and I wanted to say, "Do people ever tell you you look like Matthew Perry?" But I didn't get the chance and he didn't tip very well. The bill was like almost $40 and he gave me $2. I tried to make sure they had enough refills.

I try to always be good about refills.

I want to ask the people that give me $4 to $6 on a $20 check what they do for a living---it's probably math or science related or computer related.

I'm sorry I didn't like math.

Oh, Matthew Perry, take me out. Someone great and eligible, take me out.

Not sure if I said this yet, but when I'm on Oprah and she asks me what I say she's going to ask and I say what I'm going to say, I hope she or I can say, "But it's Ok, because you have..." and he'll be in the audience and politely raise his hand and say, "and nothing like that will ever happen again." I will smile.

yeah---that's the way it's suppose to happen.

I asked my aunt tonight if she thought my Josh and Leslie thing was sappy and she said no. I was surprised.

Bernice Boggs Taylor's daughter deserved something like to happen--what I made happen in the book--but it didn't.
